Teaching Session #21 - 12 May 2019

The book of Ecclesiastes
Main speaker - Stephen Greasley
Leader for the evening - Graham Wilkins

Stephen writes:
"Ecclesiastes is without a doubt the most miserable book in the Bible. It is clouded in an atmosphere of cynicism and negativity. One of the challenges that believers have always faced has been how to extract a positive message from its pages. On our session on 12th May I will be arguing for the meaningfulness of meaninglessness. I will try to show that properly understood Ecclesiastes has some valuable lessons for all of us regarding what it is to be human. It isn't necessary to impose a meaning onto the text, rather it is perfectly possible to allow the writer of Ecclesiastes to speak for himself and still have something important to say to men and women today."

Be there!
